Or to be precise slightly better. For some users. Yes, CD Projekt Red, finally came up with patch 1.5 and... it’s still far, far, far from what was expected from the game.
With new patch available today for PC and consoles CD Projekt Red added new weapons to the game (two new weapons to be exact, three if you count throwing knife), few additional apartments that you can choose and redecorate, some technical fixes to crowd reactions and something that we all were waiting for - a mirror! And to quote classic - th... th... th... th... that’s all folks.
It took CDPR just slightly over 1 year to add some new features into their game and to be honest it’s hard to find players that would be impressed with size and content of the 1.5 update. After almost 2 years of empty promises and pointless roadmaps that never materialized it looks like CD Projekt RED finally gave up on saving the dumpster fire that Cyberpunk 2077 was. I mean they put up another patch.
CD Projekt Red announced that they work on Witcher 4! And... that’s about it. No, I forgot, we now know the title! And that is really it.
To no-one’s surprise another big title have just completely cyberpunked on the premiere - buggy, under-developed, remade to appeal to everyone. And ended up quickly forgotten. Yes, I mean Saints Row.
I recently revisited old British sitcom called Cowboys, about inept builders taking jobs they are not qualified for, doing them as quickly and as cheaply as possible and then running away with the money. Few days later GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition premiered and I got the strange feeling of deja vu.
Due to Russian aggression on Ukraine the development of Stalker 2, a highly anticipated sequel to Stalker series games, has been suspended.
Unity Technologies, a company behind very popular Unity game engine, hit the news again, but not for reasons you might expect. Yup, it looks like they became the new evil corporation on the horizon.
