Online Games Bay
Sony, the so-called game publisher, is getting sued over misleading customers in their online store by using terms like "buy" and "purchase" while they really mean "borrow". But Sony will not take it lying down, they brought the famous legal defence strategy of "nah-ah".

Yes, Sony is actually paying some lawyers to represent them in courts with the defence strategy of "customers are stupid". Or, to put it more clearly, they argue that no "reasonable customer" would assume that by clicking "buy" or "purchase" he is actually buying something. No, no, no, of course not, any "reasonable customer" already knows that those terms mean a limited, non-exclusive, personal and, what is most important, revocable license to access the game.
I mean, fair play, the button with "get limited, non-exclusive, personal and, revocable license to access this game" would look silly in the store, right? It is always better to hide the non-important details from the customers. They are stupid anyway, so they won’t understand what that means, right? Why bother their little brains with details what exactly they pay for?
Their another brilliant argument was that if two of the plaintiffs bought the same game 11 days apart, it could not be possible if it was a literal sale. The argument is that the second one could not buy the game, because the first one already bought it 11 days prior. I mean... how many peanuts does it cost to hire a brilliant mind that came up with that strategy?
F*ck Sony. No, not because of their shady practices, or those lawsuits, just in general, f*ck Sony. And if you are one of the stupid people, who pay them good money for the, apparently, limited, non-exclusive, personal and, revocable license to access their games, f*ck you too. It’s because of people like you, we are in the deep poop right now.

Last Oasis could be another victim of its players
Cheating is serious problem for many online games, but equally serious is the lack of ways to get rid of the players that do not follow the rules. Unless you do something radical, like Last Oasis recently did.
