Online Games Bay
Steam has made some poor choices in the past, and it seems like they are coming back to bite them on the backside. And it is not even funny any more.

Do you remember the times when Steam was actually moderated? Me neither, it has been so long since it became just a cesspool for anything that can be vaguely called "a game", half-baked ideas, half-finished projects, permanent early access titles, a playfield for home-grown weirdoes and hunting ground for predatory companies. Oh yeah, and pirates and hackers as well.
If you missed that information, Steam was a home for stolen games from indie companies, who someone else published on the platform, of course, without the consent of the developers. Steam has removed them later, but the stench of lack of moderation still lingers.
Some time ago, payment operators decided to cut down on the risky business of dealing with transactions for games of, let’s put it nicely, doubtful gaming value (yes, the sexual ones), which drew to the surface the whole ugly business to the surface. The Steam, making money on some weirdoes demanding access to their content and screaming about censorship. Yeah, tell it to your girlfriends.
And recently articles popped up about a literal malware was being available on the Steam. The not that funny thing about it, it was not even the first time this year such thing happened. If it wasn’t for the story of streamer losing savings that he was gathering for his cancer treatment, it most likely would never even reach the media.
But on the other hand, Gabe Newell bought himself a luxury yacht building company, so at least that is nice, right?
