Wargaming is leaving Russia and Belarus

Wargaming.net, a company behind World of Tanks and World of Warships (also World of Warplanes, but realistically who cares?) is apparently leaving Russia and Belarus.

Wargaming is leaving Russia and Belarus

This is a surprising news since Wargaming was founded in Belarus and had "main office" in Sankt Petersburg, but as usual in case of that company nothing is as simple as it seems. Their main office is in Cyprus, while their Sankt Petersburg office was practically running World of Warships.

First of all it was really surprising for their employees, who learnt just hours before announcement that they lost their jobs. Or to be more specific they most likely lost their jobs, because company will try to relocate them to Poland, Lithuania and other countries, but there is no clear information what does that mean and how it will be done.

Second surprising element of the story is that they... don’t really leave Russia or Belarus. What does that mean? They will only separate themselves from Lesta Studio, a Sankt Petersburg branch of their company. The one that was running World of Warships... I wonder how will that work.

So, in another words, they separate themselves (or rather split in two), World of Warships and World of Tanks will be available in Russia in Belarus, but (most likely) under another parent company. What does that mean for users of World of Warships and World of Tanks? Nobody knows. So... just another, usual day of Wargaming news - you think you know something, but you really don’t.

The curious case of World of Warships

This curios case is indeed curious, but for unusual reason. It is about the online game from Wargaming company, World of Warships, but it sort-of really isn’t.

Gamers are weird creatures

Recent developments in several titles made me think that gamers are truly weird, weird creatures that should be studied by science, because it’s not how human kind should work. Or is it?

If you missed the sh*tstorm that just keeps on giving, the Community Contributors walkout in World of Warships, don’t worry, nothing particularly interesting happened. Except Wargaming apologized again. Well, sort of...

It can be assumed, that Wargaming is taking the p!ss

Yes, you could assume that after recent events Wargaming, company behind World of Tanks and World of Warships, would be more careful, but if you assumed that you clearly do not know this company for very long.

Robots are racist now

At least according to youtuber CoryxKenshin, who started a storm about being victim of racism or favouritism within youtube. Yes, boys and girls, he is convinced that robots are out to get him. I think we should re-watch Terminator movies, just in case...

Cowboys and idiots

I recently revisited old British sitcom called Cowboys, about inept builders taking jobs they are not qualified for, doing them as quickly and as cheaply as possible and then running away with the money. Few days later GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition premiered and I got the strange feeling of deja vu.
