Online Games Bay
Or maybe it’s just a wishful thinking, but I got a surprising e-mail from Wargaming that made me laugh. Not with them, at them.

It really feels like Wargaming becomes desperate after collapse of their Community Contributors program in Summer 2021, after which a lot of prominent streamers reduced the number of WOWS videos on their channels or moved to another titles. Now WG is sending bizarre e-mails to inactive users, like me, who got tired of their constant introduction of more and more broken mechanics into World of Warships.
Hey, there!
Commander! Submarines and superships have been added to the game! To prepare for these new battle factors, Warships HQ is authorizing you to reset Commander skills and demount upgrades free of charge. Take advantage of this opportunity, and good luck in battle!
Yup, Wargaming felt obligated to inform me, someone who never spent much money in their game and left it more than a year ago, that there are submarines! And superships! I guess, they ran out of whales to milk and now they scrap bottom of barrel, hoping to bring back even casual players, like me.
What can I say? Wargaming, I’m flattered that you remember me when you are desperate, but I know there are submarines in your game. That’s why I left last year...

Is Wargaming collapsing? Unfortunately no, but the situation in the company might not be as great as they want you to believe.
Do you remember The Simpsons? You know, that TV series that once was funny, before it became the forgotten, although still going TV series. Wargaming just got to the new level of pathetic detachment from reality, just like The Simpsons.
Wargaming.net, a company behind World of Tanks and World of Warships (also World of Warplanes, but realistically who cares?) is apparently leaving Russia and Belarus.
In a move that shocked pretty much no one, who paid attention to World of Warships in recent months, the most recognized Community Contributors for the game has just distanced themselves from Wargaming as a company and their products.
Few years back YouTube, as it is a tradition of that company, screwed over the creators on the platform by changing the rules of monetization and in single move cutting a lot of people from potential income. But at least now we can say it was all worth it!
And I’m not sure if this is a good news or a bad news. I’m not even sure if I still care.
Steam has made some poor choices in the past, and it seems like they are coming back to bite them on the backside. And it is not even funny any more.
