The Valve’s famous moneymaker, CS:GO skins market, loosely attached to well-known game Counter Strike: Global Offensive, just crashed in a spectacular way and it is all down to Valve.

If you don’t know how much money is being laundered, sorry I meant exchanged, via CS:GO skins market, then clearly you have lived a full life. Let me just explain that it is billions of dollars. Supposedly. At least in theory, because the skins are nothing else than good old NFTs, just loosely based around the game itself.
By changing one detail in the market rules, the fact that you can exchange few low-value items for a single high-value item, all the rarity of NFTs on the market has more or less vanished. The "investors", as they call themselves, had lost between 30 and 50% of their collection "value".
Of course, just like with other NFTs, no one sane would buy them for any other reason but to sell it later for higher value, but in theory they can be used in the game itself. According to some sources, the overall "value" of the items in the market have dropped overnight by 3 billions dollars.
And all the rest of us can say, apart from the "investors", is... oh, well, never mind.

Another month and another case of gaming companies trying to outbid each other who will come up with worst idea. And, oh boy, do they got good at it.
CD Projekt announced that an early stage of work on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has started and, to quote a classic, it’s déjà vu all over again.

If you browse through any of many websites offering users chance to vote for the games you will notice one interesting thing - even though the scale is usually between 1 and 10 it is hard to find a game that would be outside of the range between 6 and 9.
Today something completely different, a curious case of a game, which might or might not be published soon. I know it doesn’t sound exciting or interesting, there are thousands of games that exist only as a list of promises and ideas, most of which will never be finished, but this one is a bit different. This one is definitely coming soon!
For decades now EA was the icon of a company that does not care about anyone or anything. And now, after a success of Battlefield 6, they has proven they can be even worse than you could expect.
Or maybe it’s just a wishful thinking, but I got a surprising e-mail from Wargaming that made me laugh. Not with them, at them.
Times change and we change with them - simple ancient sentence that has a lot to do with game development. I know, you expect to find here the rambling of old man about how old games were better, righ...
