According Bloomberg, Sony is sulking again and will take their toys away from the unworthy PC players. And yes, it is all down to money. And stupidity.

Sony is sulking again

Sony, to much surprise of the markets, decided in past few years to dip their toes in the PC market by offering their single player games to be available for the non-console players. It was surprising mostly because of their staunch belief that those games were bringing new players to their hardware.

According to Bloomberg, this experiment was deemed a fail by Sony, so they will not offer any more of their single player titles on PC. One of the factors, brought as an explanation, was the fact that the sales of those titles were not great. To be fair, Sony did very little to actually make them sale well - some of them required an additional account in PlayStation Network, (which might have put off some users), others were introduced on the PC platforms months if not years after the premiere on the console, so way past the best moment to actually sell them.

Or to put it in a different way: Sony nudged the doors slightly open for the PC players with very limited number of titles, most of them pass their sell-by date, with heavily caveated access rules, and after a short period of time they are shutting it down even before they gave enough time to lure some new users. Smart move, Sony, smart move indeed.

Developer, know when to stop!

Developing a good game is not only about coming up with good ideas, but also about realizing which the bad ideas are. This is not specific to just gaming world, it works with every piece of art, from paintings to books and movies.

Pagan Online is not online anymore

Pagan Online, the latest addition to Wargaming family, looks like another victim in line of AAA online games that failed soon after premiere.

Warning! Low-hanging fruits ahead!

Breaking news - the hawk tuah girl is trying something new. What else, it is NFT. To be fair, her claim to fame soon will be over, so she could cash out while she can. But she is not the one that is interesting in the story.

Ubisoft, u ok hun?

Ubisoft, the beloved company behind some of the most popular game series on the market, is in deep (redacted) right now. And all that can be heard in the background is sarcastic clapping all around the world.

Stalker 2 just got a gameplay video... sort-of

After 3 years since the moment we first had the chance to buy Stalker 2, it seems like the game finally is reaching... a quite early stage of production. At least that is the conclusion of the newest video, which shows 12 seconds of gameplay. Or rather "gameplay"...

How Cyberpunk 2077 made history and what you should learn from it

Cyberpunk 2077, new game from CD Projekt Red studio, premiered on 10th December 2020 and, just like rest of the year 2020, it was a painful experience. Although after about 8 years in production developers made history, I don’t think that was the way they wanted to do it.
