It looks like production of anticipated Stalker 2 game from Ukrainian studio GSC Game World was just postponed indefinitely.

At least that is the conclusion of recent Microsoft (the game publisher) decision to refund money players spent on a pre-orders of Stalker 2 via Xbox Store. So far there is no official communication from developers, but due to ongoing war in Ukraine, that does not seem like ending any time soon, it is fair assumption.
Even though the development team (or majority of the team) was supposedly relocated from Ukraine to neighbour countries (like Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania), it looks like the disruption caused by war was far more serious than GSC Game World assumed. The game that was suppose to premiere in second quarter of 2022, was already postponed to next year, but it seems that developers are unable to give any solid date they will be ready with the product.
While it is unfortunate for the fans of the series, not to mention the Ukrainian developers, who have to face the war, it is worth to point out that so far no gameplay, no in-game screenshots nor any sort of demo were presented, so it is really hard to determine how much (if any part) of the game was actually completed so far.

Bethesda has done it again, and no one is surprised. Yes, they shot themselves in the foot and soon they will run out of feet to sacrifice. This time it was the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition.
If a company with a reputation as bad as Square Enix reaches the new low, you can count on their new idea being really, really bad.
