The soap opera known as Star Citizen has just reached the new lows... or the new highs. Or both.
Star Citizen has returned to the news for... actually, the same reason it has always been in the news - money. But this time is slightly different. Although not that different. Well, anyway, here is the short version of events.
Star Citizen have introduced a brand new, powerful ship. No change there. It does not exist yet, so no change there. But you can already buy that ship. No change there. It could be quite expensive, and it is unsure when it will be delivered, so still no change there. But here is the twist - you cannot simply buy that ship. No, no, no, that would be too easy and too obvious. To buy that ship, you need to spend at least 1,000 USD in the game already. Oh yeah, and write an essay.
Yes, boys and girls, you need to write an essay explaining why you should be among the chosen ones who can spend their money on a brand new... and slightly non-existent yet, spaceship. The price of the ship is unclear, but it supposedly is in the range of about 5,000 USD.
Is this the new lows for Star Citizen? It’s debatable. Is the new highs? In a way, yes. I mean, so far a lot of people were accusing Star Citizen of being a giant scam, but if they managed to "program" their audience so they would demand to have their wallets drained and literally beg for it, it is something impressive. And slightly worrying for the families of that audience, but nevertheless impressive... in an S&M way.

Stalker 2 just got a gameplay video... sort-of
After 3 years since the moment we first had the chance to buy Stalker 2, it seems like the game finally is reaching... a quite early stage of production. At least that is the conclusion of the newest video, which shows 12 seconds of gameplay. Or rather "gameplay"...
