CD Projekt Red announced that they work on Witcher 4! And... that’s about it. No, I forgot, we now know the title! And that is really it.

After 8 years of milking the success of The Witcher 3 and squandering every bit of dignity in the process (I mean recently, the mobile games ideas and complete failure of Cyberpunk 2077), CD Projekt Red announced new Witcher game, The Witcher 4: A New Saga Begins. Oh yeah, and it’s gonna be built on Unreal Engine 5.
That’s it, that’s the whole news. So far no release date was announced (which is a good thing, I guess), no details, just that they work on it and they came up with a title. Do you remember the times when companies were proudly announcing their products? I mean finished products... No concept art, no loose ideas, no general descriptions, but actually products! I do, but then again I’m old. And I know I’m old, because things like that hardly ever happen in gaming industry in this century.
Well, anyway. Does that mean that CDPR have abandoned Cyberpunk 2077? Certainly not, but to be fair it is hard to tell anyway if Cyberpunk 2077 is in development or not, since all they could do with a broken game is introduce handful of patches within 15 months...
The Witcher 3 was one of the best games, if not the best one, of the genre, but there are voices that it’s the only one that was actually good in the series, so now it will be the moment of truth for the company. After they lost a lot of talent in recent years, they lost the last shreds of dignity and credibility after premiere of Cyberpunk 2077, now they have to come up with something great to prove that The Witcher 3 wasn’t just a fluke.
The only interesting bit of this announcement is the game engine - if The Witcher 4 will be based on Unreal Engine 5 it could mean that CDPR given up on building their own, dedicated game engines, which is surprising, taking under consideration how much money and time they have spent on them. Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed for about 2 years to build a new engine, which did not ended well, but abandoning the engine means it was time completely wasted.
On similar note one of the former CDPR developers has just established a new studio and recently announced they will be working on open world, fantasy-themed game based on Unreal Engine 5... It’s a... Another news, I guess. They have one image to show for and song in their hearts. But to be fair, that’s exactly how much we know about Witcher 4, actually...

Cyberpunk 2077, new game from CD Projekt Red studio, premiered on 10th December 2020 and, just like rest of the year 2020, it was a painful experience. Although after about 8 years in production developers made history, I don’t think that was the way they wanted to do it.
Cyberpunk 2077, a game with one of the worst premieres in modern times, just became a Game of the Year! No, you didn’t wake up in some parallel universe, although... I’m not that sure to be honest.
CD Projekt announced that an early stage of work on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has started and, to quote a classic, it’s déjà vu all over again.
After almost 2 years of empty promises and pointless roadmaps that never materialized it looks like CD Projekt RED finally gave up on saving the dumpster fire that Cyberpunk 2077 was. I mean they put up another patch.
While the overwhelming majority of users know that you simply can’t trust the big tech companies, it is worth to remind those, who don’t why is that important to keep on your toes while you deal with them.
Today something completely different, a curious case of a game, which might or might not be published soon. I know it doesn’t sound exciting or interesting, there are thousands of games that exist only as a list of promises and ideas, most of which will never be finished, but this one is a bit different. This one is definitely coming soon!
According Bloomberg, Sony is sulking again and will take their toys away from the unworthy PC players. And yes, it is all down to money. And stupidity.
No, it’s not gonna be another "World of Warships is dead" or "WOWS is dying" article. Unfortunately, this completely broken game is alive, and it looks like with the community they have, it will be ...
